Romeo & Juliet
There he is in the parlor,
Head within his hands,
He doesn't know the reason
and he doesn't understand.
A picture of his lady
lay shattered on the floor,
he reaches in the darkness
to touch what was before.
And he's just a broken hearted
with tear stains on his face,
He's looking for the answers,
and how his mind does race,
Yeah, he's running from his feelings,
but no where can he hide,
he doesn't know the reason
To why his love should die.
It was late one evening,
a knock came at the door,
"A drunken driver killed her"
The policeman said no more.
He didn't know the reason
There's none that one could give,
He doesn't have his lover,
Now he doesn't want to live.
And he's just a broken hearted
with tear stains on his face,
He's looking for the answers,
and how his mind does race,
Yeah, he's running from his feelings,
but no where can he hide,
he doesn't know the reason
To why his love should die.
There he is in the parlor,
Gun within his hands,
He says "My love I miss you,
and I hope you understand."
A shot rings through the silence,
Till the silence is then met,
And now he's with his lady,
He's with his Juliet.
And he's just a broken hearted
with tear stains on his face,
He's looking for the answers,
and how his mind does race,
Yeah, he's running from his feelings,
but no where can he hide,
he doesn't know the reason
To why his love should die.
She came home that evening,
A sight before her eyes,
Cause she was only asking
was it love or was it lies?
And now she knows the answer,
It's one that she did know,
So she takes the gun he's holding,
And joins her Romeo.
And they're just the broken hearted,
With tear stains on their face,
They're looking for the answers,
And how their minds do race,
Yeah they're running from their feeling
But no where can they hide,
They do not know the reason.
To why their love should die.
