Every night I look to the sky

and think of those who have gone

the legacy they left behind

a legacy marked by the dawn

The souls that have touched my life

that left a mark on my heart

the words they spoke in my ear

made it so we are never apart

my grandpa was a hero of mine

his stories created a drive

to make my life have a meaning

to live, not merely survive

the last words he spoke to me

forever rings through my soul

no one can change your life

its you who has to have goals.

Everyday of my life I honor that man

and I honor the lessons he gave

my love for him will shine through the night

for its because of him, that im saved.
