Hit The Road!

If you say you love me,
Well, that's all right by me.
If you say you need me,
Then, baby you will see,
All the love you're needing,
I will give for free,
But if you want to change me
I'm gone eternity.

Long gone down the highway.
Gone away like I should.
You say you want to change me,
Then I must be no good.
Long gone down the highway,
What you get is what you see,
And if you really loved me,
Then ya better not change me!

I may say I love you,
In all the things you do,
And for all your needing,
You know that I'll be true.
I'll do anything girl,
To stop you feeling blue,
But if you want to change me,
I'll tell you that we're through!

Long gone down the highway.
Gone away like I should.
You say you want to change me,
Then I must be no good.
Long gone down the highway,
What you get is what you see,
And if you really loved me,
Then ya better not change me!

You may say that I am right,
And I'm the best you know,
You can even say go fast,
Or tell me to go slow.
No matter what you're askin,
My love for you I'll show,
But if you want to change me,
You'll watch me as I go!

Long gone down the highway.
Gone away like I should.
You say you want to change me,
Then I must be no good.
Long gone down the highway,
What you get is what you see,
And if you really loved me,
Then ya better not change me!

Lady tried to change me,
My fire she did stoke,
Took me for my feelings,
Said I'm country folk!
She don't see me smilin',
To me it ain't no joke,
Turn around my baby,
And you can watch my smoke!

Long gone down the highway.
Gone away like I should.
You say you want to change me,
Then I must be no good.
Long gone down the highway,
What you get is what you see,
And if you really loved me,
Then ya better not change me!
