Baby, Baby, Baby

Baby, Baby, Baby,
Why did you treat me mean?
You done and gone and left me,
To try another scene.
You say I am a dreamer,
I'm dreaming all the day,
But this dream I'm having,
Is hoping that you'll stay.

Don't go away no more,
Don't leave me on the floor,
I can't stand the pain
till you're home again,
You know where you will find me,
You know where I'll be found,
Crying in my pillow,
Where my feelings can be drowned.

Now I don't understand it,
I'm really quite perplexed.
Did you really love me?
Or has my love been hexed?
You see I really loved you
How could you be so cruel?
You came, you saw, you took me,
As if I were a fool.

Don't go away no more,
Don't leave me on the floor,
I can't stand the pain
till you're home again,
You know where you will find me,
You know where I'll be found,
Crying in my pillow,
Where my feelings can be drowned.

I gave you what you asked for,
It didn't seem enough.
The more I seemed to give you,
the more you were in love.
Now some may say I'm stupid,
That I can't take a hint,
You played me for my money,
As if I were a mint.

Chorus

Now I have gotten wiser,
Glad that you have went.
I just wrote a hit song,
and the money's heaven sent.
See you so much later,
and it's you that I must thank.
I won't need the mint, girl!
Cause now I own the bank.

Go away some more,
And even up the score,
I ain't got no shame
from this new found fame.
And if you come here looking,
Me you'll never find,
My pillow's lined with gold and
It's mine, mine, mine, mine, MINE!
